Brantome, the Venice of Perigord, is 30 mins away, a must on Friday market mornings. Get there by 10am as stalls start packing up around midday. One of the most beautiful villages in France with its river moat, canoes, cafes galore, Benedictine Abbey and troglodyte caves.
